Global Procurement Category Manager – IT Hardware & Telecom

About the role

We are seeking a strategic, proactive Global Procurement Category Manager for IT Hardware & Telecom to optimise a critical spend area. You will secure optimal value for IT hardware and telecommunications solutions across our global operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage global IT Hardware & Telecom spend and oversee end‑to‑end procurement processes.
• Develop and implement category strategies for Telecom and Hardware.
• Identify opportunities to structure the category, optimise spend, consolidate vendors and improve commercial outcomes.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, global telecom and hardware providers.
• Lead supplier selection and manage complex RFI/RFP processes.
• Provide sourcing recommendations based on market dynamics and supplier capabilities.
• Negotiate commercial terms with global and local providers, ensuring contractual compliance.
• Embed risk, service level, data protection, security, quality and sustainability requirements into contracts.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and approve purchase orders within defined thresholds.

Required profile

• More than 5 years of experience in IT procurement, strategic sourcing, supplier or category management.
• Experience with IT hardware and/or telecommunications categories, including negotiations and contract management.
• Good understanding of servers, data‑center infrastructure, end‑user devices and global telecom services.
• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills with global and local technology providers.
• Proactive mindset with ability to propose ideas for spend, vendor and process improvement.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and influencing abilities in a global, cross‑functional environment.
• Team‑oriented, collaborative attitude and commitment to diversity and inclusion.
• Fluent in English.
