Freelance Recruiter

About the role

TCR, an aviation group providing ground support equipment solutions across 240+ airports, is looking for a freelance recruiter to join its HR team. The role focuses on proactively identifying, engaging and convincing high-calibre candidates in a competitive market, with no reliance on inbound applications. It is based near Brussels (Steenokkerzeel).

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of vacancies from intake to hire, with accountability for delivery, timeline and quality.
• Proactively identify and engage candidates through various channels, with a strong focus on direct sourcing, including IT profiles.
• Drive difficult searches forward and maintain momentum despite setbacks or rejections.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future needs.
• Manage the full recruitment cycle, including screening, interviewing and follow-up.
• Act as a trusted partner for hiring managers, challenging and guiding them toward quality decisions.
• Closet candidates through proactive follow-up and ensure an excellent candidate experience.
• Engage and influence senior candidates and hiring managers at director level.

Required profile

• Available immediately for at least 3 days per week until the end of the year.
• Willing to work on-site in Steenokkerzeel, near Brussels Airport.
• Track record of filling complex or hard-to-fill roles.
• Comfortable engaging and influencing senior stakeholders and candidates.
• Persistent, resilient and proactive, taking ownership when facing roadblocks.
• Strong influencing and selling skills to engage passive candidates.
• Excellent English communication; knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a plus.
