Freelance MuleSoft Architect - Significant Project

About the role

This freelance position focuses on designing and governing MuleSoft integration solutions for a major project. The role combines architecture design, governance implementation, and coaching of development teams, while working closely with enterprise architects and DevOps specialists.

Key responsibilities

• Help establish and evolve a Center of Excellence (CoE) for MuleSoft governance.
• Define and implement MuleSoft standards, guidelines, and processes.
• Contribute to the API integration roadmap and overall technology strategy.
• Design target integration and API architectures using CloudHub 2.0, Runtime Fabric, and Private Spaces.
• Ensure solutions meet enterprise architecture principles such as security, performance, and scalability.
• Integrate MuleSoft with CI/CD pipelines, observability (Loki), monitoring and logging frameworks.
• Coach development teams on API‑led connectivity, reusability and security best practices.
• Validate technical designs and lead Communities of Practice to share standards and innovations.
• Collaborate with DevOps, security, data and cloud architects to maintain solution consistency.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing MuleSoft integration architectures.
• Strong knowledge of MuleSoft governance, API‑led connectivity and enterprise architecture principles.
• Ability to work in a bilingual environment (French and English).
• Excellent communication skills to support and coach development teams.
