Freelance Machine Learning Developer – AI Project

About the role

Mindrift is seeking experienced machine‑learning specialists to work on short‑term, project‑based AI challenges for leading tech companies. As a freelance ML developer you will design and implement computational STEM problems that simulate real scientific workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Design original computational problems that require Python programming and cannot be solved manually within days or weeks.
• Create problem statements that demand non‑trivial reasoning chains and creative solutions.
• Verify solutions using Python standard libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, SciPy and scikit‑learn.
• Document problem descriptions clearly and provide verified correct answers.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on machine‑learning experience with demonstrable business impact.
• Portfolio of completed projects or publications showcasing real‑world problem solving.
• Strong written English (C1+).

Required skills

• Expert Python programming for data science (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, scikit‑learn, statsmodels).
• SQL and database operations for data manipulation.
• Deep knowledge of statistical analysis and machine‑learning algorithms.
• Experience with GenAI technologies (LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, vector databases).
• Understanding of MLOps practices and model deployment workflows.
• Proficiency with modern frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangChain).

What we offer
