Financial Controller – Private Equity – Brussels

About the role

Join a pan‑European mid‑market private equity firm as a Financial Controller, supporting the group’s consolidation, reporting and interaction with portfolio companies. You will work closely with the CFO and the Head of Control & Finance, providing insight that drives investment decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and analyse financial statements for the group and its subsidiaries.
• Coordinate the full consolidation process, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Collaborate on annual budgeting, forecasting and long‑term financial planning.
• Manage external audit processes and maintain relationships with banks, tax advisors and accountants.
• Implement and maintain robust financial controls, identifying process improvements.
• Act as the technical bridge between the holding company and portfolio entities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience with strong technical accounting, reporting and consolidation expertise.
• Fluent in English and French; additional languages are a plus.
• Background in Big 4 audit and exposure to investment companies, holdings or private equity is highly valued.
