Financial Controller

About the role

GIMBER, a premium organic beverage brand, is looking for a Financial Controller to own the finance journey from production cost to net profit. You will build methodologies, models and processes that give the business a reliable, granular view of profitability across products, channels and countries.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the finance transformation roadmap together with the CFO and Business Controller, including planning, stakeholder alignment and delivery.
• Implement standard costing for COGS and logistics, fine‑tune the methodology, configure the ERP (Odoo), document, train and roll it out across teams.
• Convert new models into robust monthly processes adopted by operations, supply chain and commercial teams.
• Own product costing end‑to‑end: bills of material, production and logistics cost rates, cost updates and revisions.
• Build and maintain the margin ladder by SKU, channel and country, from gross margin to net profit, and explain variances versus standards and budget.
• Act as finance business partner to operations and supply chain on sourcing, co‑packing and efficiency decisions.
• Own inventory valuation and reconcile physical, operational and accounting views, managing obsolescence and slow‑mover provisioning.
• Translate the production and supply plan (S&OP) into purchasing, working‑capital and cash‑flow forecasts, feeding the budget and forecast cycles down to net profit.
• Deliver margin, cost and profitability analysis as part of the monthly close, working closely with the Chief Accountant and continuously improving speed, quality and automation.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of experience in controlling, with meaningful exposure to production, supply chain or industrial controlling in a physical‑product environment (food & beverage or FMCG a strong plus).
• Hands‑on standard costing experience, having implemented or operated BOM‑based cost models and analysed price, usage, volume and mix variances.
• Fluency with ERP systems, advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
• Pragmatic problem‑solver comfortable with ambiguity and rigorous in running the recurring monthly cycle.
• Fluent English; Dutch or French is a major plus.
• Independent, initiative‑taking and a true team player collaborating across CFO, Business Controller, Operations and Supply Chain.
• Comfortable owning the cost side of the P&L end‑to‑end.
