Field Service Engineer

About the role

As a Field Service Engineer you will join the EMEA North service team of TOMRA Food, supporting customers across the region. You will travel to customer sites to install, commission and maintain advanced sorting machines, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on TOMRA sorting machines.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electromechanical issues, minimizing downtime.
• Carry out upgrades, retrofits and on‑site adjustments.
• Provide training and best‑practice guidance to customers for daily operation.
• Document service activities and feed feedback to internal engineering and sales teams.
• Collaborate with service, engineering and sales colleagues to deliver a high‑quality customer experience.

Required profile

• Secondary education diploma in a mechanical field or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer.
• Strong hands‑on experience with mechanical systems such as pneumatics, hydraulics and rotating equipment.
• Good understanding of electrical systems and controls (highly desirable).
• Independent, solution‑oriented mindset with excellent communication skills.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel up to 80 % of the time across EMEA, including weekends and holidays.
