European External Affairs Internship (Brussels)

About the role
We are seeking a motivated intern to join Unilever’s European External Affairs office in Brussels. The role supports the team in influencing EU institutions and other European stakeholders on regulatory, legislative and sustainability matters.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct background research and analysis on emerging policy issues.
- Analyse the positions and activities of key stakeholders.
- Monitor regulatory, legislative and political processes relevant to Unilever.
- Draft advocacy materials, press reviews and assist in organising events.
- Support the integration of sustainability considerations into business strategies.
Required profile
- Enrolled in a university degree (preferably a Master’s in European Law, International Politics, European Studies or equivalent) and able to provide an internship agreement.
- Fluent written and spoken English; knowledge of Dutch, French or German is an asset.
- Available for a full‑time internship of approximately six months (minimum 32 hours per week) starting July‑September 2026.
- Team player with strong sense of responsibility and ability to work autonomously.
