EU Policy Research Trainee – Brussels

About the role

POLITICO is seeking a motivated trainee to join its Research & Analysis Division in Brussels. This six‑month traineeship offers hands‑on experience tracking, interpreting, and communicating EU policy developments while working alongside seasoned analysts.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor key EU legislative and policy developments across multiple sectors.
• Draft concise summaries, briefings, and background materials on EU‑related topics.
• Assist with research tasks, including gathering, organizing, and synthesizing information from diverse sources.
• Support the preparation of analytical outputs for internal and external audiences.
• Contribute to team discussions, planning meetings, and brainstorming sessions.
• Provide general support to client‑focused projects and divisional workflows as needed.
