EU Government Affairs Intern – Brussels

About the role
Cisco is looking for an EU Government Affairs Intern to join its global Government Affairs team in Brussels. Reporting to the Director of EU Trade and Digital Transformation Policy, the intern will support Cisco’s engagement with EU institutions and help monitor policy developments that affect the company.
Key responsibilities
- Research and monitor policy trends, regulatory changes, and developments in areas such as AI, cybersecurity, digital transformation, trade, competition and energy.
- Create and maintain internal briefings, presentations, newsletters and stakeholder maps for the EU and global public policy teams.
- Support the preparation, coordination and follow‑up of events, meetings and internal workshops.
- Attend conferences, seminars, hearings and industry association meetings and produce concise summaries with actionable insights.
Required profile
- Recently graduated or currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Law, Political Science, Public Policy, Economics or a related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Eligible to live and work in Belgium without visa sponsorship.
