Energy Market & Procurement Expert

About the role

Heidelberg Materials Benelux is seeking an Energy Market & Procurement Expert to lead the development of its commercial energy framework in the Benelux region. The role combines market analysis, regulatory monitoring and procurement activities to support the company’s carbon‑neutral ambition.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the Benelux energy‑market and procurement strategy, including sourcing, tenders, supplier selection and contract negotiation.
• Manage commercial assessments for supply agreements, power purchase agreements (PPAs), renewable sourcing, flexibility solutions and battery storage projects.
• Collaborate with technical and operational teams to ensure feasibility, engineering and implementation of energy initiatives.
• Monitor Belgian and Dutch energy‑market and regulatory developments, translate changes into procurement opportunities, and represent Heidelberg Materials in relevant forums.
• Act as the primary procurement interface for sites and Group Energy Procurement on supplier, contractual and market matters.

Required profile

• Proven experience in energy procurement, energy markets, regulation or renewable‑energy contracting.
• University degree in Engineering, Business, Energy Management or a related field.
• Ability to turn complex market challenges into strategic business opportunities.
