MRO Buyer – Procurement of Spare Parts & Services

About the role

We are seeking an experienced MRO Buyer to join our procurement team at Heidelberg Materials Benelux in Braine‑L’Alleud. The role focuses on sourcing and managing maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) supplies such as spare parts, tools and technical services, supporting our production and maintenance functions.

Key responsibilities

• Procure MRO goods and services for multiple business lines, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
• Collaborate closely with maintenance, engineering and production teams to understand technical requirements.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers across the Benelux region.
• Conduct price analysis, negotiate contracts and support ongoing contract management.
• Monitor deliveries, service performance and resolve any issues proactively.
• Contribute to inventory optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives, including digitalisation of procurement processes.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in MRO procurement or technical buying.
• Solid understanding of industrial maintenance processes and technical materials.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with internal stakeholders.
• Proactive, solution‑oriented attitude with capacity to manage multiple priorities.
• Structured analytical approach and collaborative mindset.

Required skills

• Experience with SAP / S/4 HANA.
