Electrical Design Engineer – Industrial Equipment

About the role

Amaris Consulting is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to develop tailored electrical solutions for compressors, dryers and related industrial equipment. You will work in an international, multidisciplinary environment, turning customer requirements into reliable, safe, and high‑quality electrical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical solutions based on customer specifications.
• Create, modify, and maintain electrical schematics and technical documentation using EPLAN.
• Evaluate technical alternatives, identify risks and propose optimal engineering solutions.
• Perform design reviews and risk analyses to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Support production teams by resolving technical issues and providing engineering expertise.
• Validate engineering deliverables for consistency and quality.
• Collaborate with suppliers, purchasing teams and internal stakeholders to optimise technical solutions.
• Assist the quotation team by translating specifications into machine requirements and selecting appropriate components.
• Contribute to product standardisation and centralised engineering data management.
• Promote continuous improvement through technological innovation and process optimisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Control Engineering or a related field.
• 4‑6 years of experience in electrical design engineering.
• Strong knowledge of EPLAN (mandatory).
• Experience in electrical design and process automation.
• Good understanding of electrical safety procedures, engineering processes and quality standards.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative and own responsibilities.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); Dutch is a strong asset.
