Editorial Producer – European Events

About the role

POLITICO is looking for a journalist and editorial producer based in Brussels who understands European institutions, policymaking and political dynamics, and how developments in Brussels affect other European capitals and vice versa. The role develops ambitious, relevant programs for POLITICO's European events, covering promotion, live coverage and follow-up content, while working with commercial and client teams to meet client objectives without compromising editorial independence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop distinctive, timely editorial programs for POLITICO's European events and identify the issues and debates most relevant to audiences.
• Shape balanced, high-level speaker lineups and work with moderators, speakers and contributors to ensure dynamic, editorially valuable discussions.
• Collaborate with journalists, event producers, marketing, commercial and client teams throughout the event lifecycle.
• Create pre-event and post-event content such as interviews, previews, explainers, video, audio and social content.
• Contribute to post-event analysis, assessing audience engagement, editorial impact and opportunities for improvement.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience as a journalist, editor or editorial producer with strong editorial judgement and an understanding of EU politics, policymaking and institutions.
• Fluent in English; additional European languages are an advantage.
• Comfortable understanding client needs and working across editorial, production, commercial and marketing teams.
