Django Developer – Backend Engineer for Health SaaS

About the role

Join a fast‑growing SaaS company in Brussels that builds data‑driven digital tools for nutrition, wellness and long‑term health. As a Django Developer you will help design, develop and scale the backend services that power the core platform used by customers across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Python and Django.
• Design, implement and document RESTful APIs for web and mobile applications.
• Collaborate with front‑end developers, product managers and designers to deliver high‑quality user experiences.
• Optimize performance, reliability and security of the platform.
• Participate in architecture discussions, technical decision‑making and CI/CD pipeline improvements.
• Support integrations with third‑party health, nutrition and analytics services.

Required profile

• Strong professional experience with Python and Django.
• Proven ability to build and maintain REST APIs.
• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL and relational database design.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerised environments.
• Experience working in Agile product teams.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
