Director of Sales & Marketing

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Director of Sales & Marketing to lead the revenue generation and brand positioning of a large‑capacity MICE hotel. Reporting to the General Manager, you will shape strategy, inspire a high‑performing team, and drive occupancy across rooms, conferences and banquets.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership, coaching and development for the sales and marketing team.
• Collaborate with the General Manager to design and execute comprehensive sales strategies for all market segments.
• Maximise occupancy rates for rooms, conference facilities and banquets.
• Build and nurture profitable relationships with corporate clients, airlines, tourist offices and travel agencies.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to adjust tactics proactively.
• Oversee key account management and ensure excellent client service.
• Promote a culture of sales excellence through targeted activities and performance tracking.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
• 4‑5 years of progressive sales experience in an upscale hotel, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Fluent in English and French; Dutch is a strong advantage.
• Excellent communication, numerical insight and prioritisation abilities.
• Valid driving licence.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience using the Opera PMS platform.
