Director of Food & Beverage

About the role

The Standard in Brussels is seeking a dynamic Director of Food & Beverage to lead all F&B concepts across its venues – Lila29, Double Standard, the Lobby Bar, Events and In‑Room Dining. Reporting to the General Manager and working closely with the Executive Chef and Director of Marketing, you will shape the culinary and beverage experience, drive revenue, and reinforce the hotel’s reputation as a city destination.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the entire Food & Beverage division, setting goals, KPIs and a culture aligned with the “Anything but Standard” ethos.
• Oversee performance, guest experience and financial results for each outlet, ensuring consistent brand identity.
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop innovative menus and beverage programmes that reflect local market trends.
• Partner with Marketing to create programming, partnerships and events that attract both guests and locals.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cost control and revenue‑growth initiatives, monitoring metrics such as covers, average spend, labour productivity and food & beverage cost.
• Conduct regular business reviews, identify risks and implement corrective actions.
• Build and mentor a high‑performing leadership team, fostering cross‑departmental collaboration.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in Food & Beverage operations within luxury hotels or upscale restaurant groups.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of driving profitability and cost efficiency.
• Ability to translate creative concepts into operational reality while maintaining service excellence.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
