Deviation Specialist

About the role

Vulcain Engineering Belgium is seeking a Deviation Specialist to support its biotech and pharmaceutical projects. The role involves managing production deviations from design through commissioning, ensuring product quality and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, record, and track deviations in production processes.
• Investigate root causes and assess impact on product quality.
• Develop, implement, and verify corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Maintain compliance with GMP and internal procedures.
• Communicate deviation status to production and quality teams.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce recurring incidents.

Required profile

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in bioengineering, biotechnology, biological engineering or a related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
• Fluency in French and English.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.

Required skills

• Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) knowledge.
• CAPA development and verification.
• Root cause analysis techniques.
