Cardiologist – Medical Director, Core Labs

About the role

Medpace is expanding its global activities and seeks a full‑time, office‑based Cardiologist – Medical Director to join the Core Labs team in Leuven. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver cardiac imaging and ECG assessments that are critical to the success of clinical trials.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee training and management of central readers for cardiac imaging and ECG.
• Collaborate with Core Lab management on technical aspects of cardiac study assessments.
• Participate in sponsor site visits, audits, and intra‑/inter‑reader variability assessments.
• Conduct blinded independent central review of ECG and cardiac imaging according to study protocols, GCP and Medpace SOPs.
• Review protocols, charters, and related clinical documents; develop and evaluate SOPs and study‑specific procedures.

Required profile

• Medical Doctor (M.D.) with current licensure and specialization in Cardiology.
• Extensive experience interpreting ECG, Holter‑ECG and at least one cardiac imaging modality.
• Proficiency with ECG and cardiac image analysis software, including PACS.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Access, Project) is preferred.
