Data Scientist - Consulting & AI Delivery

About the role

Agilytic helps clients turn business objectives into measurable results through smarter use of data, analytics, automation and AI. It is looking for a Data Scientist (Consulting & AI Delivery) in Brussels who works at the intersection of business and technology, helping clients make better decisions and implement solutions that create tangible value. The role is client-facing and involves working at the client's premises on average 2 to 3 days a week and from the Brussels office 1 to 2 days a week.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business questions into analytical approaches and decision-support solutions
• Structure and prioritise requirements with clients
• Collect, clean, transform and validate data from multiple sources
• Perform descriptive, diagnostic and predictive analyses where relevant
• Build dashboards, models, reports and decision-support tools
• Prototype and automate parts of the analysis or delivery workflow
• Communicate findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences and support implementation
• Use AI-assisted tools responsibly to speed up research, coding, testing, documentation and delivery
• Senior Data Scientists also supervise and coach junior team members

Required profile

• Master's degree in a quantitative, scientific, engineering or business-related field (e.g. Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Physics, Biology, Computer Science)
• Fluent English and Dutch or French
• Eligible to work in Belgium and the EU; no relocation support offered
• Comfortable working with clients and presenting recommendations

Required skills

• Strong foundation in analytics, statistics and structured problem solving
• Hands-on experience with Python and SQL
• Nice to have: ETL/ELT, cloud data environments, APIs, BI/reporting tools, machine learning, version control, and AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot or Cursor
