Cyber Security Officer – NATO

About the role

The Joint Intelligence and Security Division (JISD) of NATO is seeking a qualified Officer to lead cyber security accreditation and policy maintenance for NATO’s Communication and Information Systems. The role involves conducting audits, security surveys and collaborating with internal and external partners to ensure a robust cyber security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute cyber security audits and evaluations across NATO bodies.
• Follow up on audit findings and advise on remediation actions.
• Support the planning and implementation of cyber security measures in projects, including industry engagements.
• Collaborate with other NATO branches to assess the cyber security posture of networks.
• Participate in security surveys with non‑NATO entities and travel occasionally as required.

Required profile

• University degree or equivalent in cyber security, information systems or a related field.
• Minimum five years of relevant professional experience.
• Demonstrated experience with Cloud and Edge Computing deployment models.
• Excellent communication and analytical abilities, able to explain complex situations clearly.
• Advanced proficiency (V) in English or French and beginner (I) level in the other official NATO language.
