Customer Service Engineer

About the role

Join an international, fast‑growing company to provide on‑field and remote support for passenger information and communication systems on trains across Western and Northern Europe. You will ensure installations work flawlessly, train clients, and resolve technical issues both on‑site and from our headquarters.

Key responsibilities

• Perform software installations and configurations on train systems.
• Deliver hands‑on training to clients and ensure they are proficient with the equipment.
• Conduct testing, inspections, and quality checks on installations.
• Document work clearly using JIRA and Confluence.
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers, providing remote troubleshooting.
• Support project delivery by collaborating with project management and other departments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, ICT or a related field.
• Experience in system testing and troubleshooting.
• Fundamental knowledge of Linux, hardware, and networking technologies (TCP/IP, FTP, SSH).
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem‑solving abilities; able to work independently under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Willingness to travel 20‑30% of the time within Western Europe.
