Cook – Airport Hotel Kitchen

About the role

Join the culinary team at a busy airport hotel where you will prepare and cook a variety of dishes for guests. The role involves maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene and presentation in a fast‑paced kitchen environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling and measuring.
• Cook foods according to recipes, quality and presentation standards.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers safely and efficiently.
• Test and monitor food for proper doneness and temperature.
• Prepare cold dishes and assemble plated meals.
• Set up and break down work stations, clean and disinfect kitchen areas, tools and equipment.
• Follow all safety, security and food‑handling policies.
• Maintain a professional appearance and support a positive team environment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• At least 1 year of relevant kitchen or food‑service experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend and lift objects up to 25 lb.

• Food preparation, portioning, chopping and mixing.
