Compliance Expert

About the role

As a member of the Legal & Compliance team at BMW Group Belux, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the local Compliance Management System, ensuring alignment with both external legislation and internal BMW Group standards. You will help foster a strong compliance culture throughout the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and continuously improve the local Compliance Management System in line with BMW Group policies and legal requirements.
• Monitor business processes to guarantee compliance with laws, regulations and internal policies, reporting to the Legal & Compliance Manager.
• Serve as the internal point of contact for antitrust, corruption prevention, fraud, export control and anti‑money‑laundering matters.
• Translate relevant legislation and group regulations into practical local procedures and guidelines.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, BMW Group headquarters and other group entities.
• Enhance compliance maturity through risk assessments, control plans, spot checks and reporting.
• Advise, coach and train employees on compliance topics, tools and methodologies.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of professional experience in a compliance or regulatory role.
• Master’s degree.
• Ability to work autonomously while being a collaborative team player.
• Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex messages clearly.
• Proactive, structured and well‑organised working approach.
• High sense of responsibility and ownership.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Fluency in Dutch, French and English.
