Commercial Director

About the role

Our client, Holcim Roofing, is seeking a Commercial Director to lead commercial operations across multiple European markets. Reporting directly to the CEO, the role carries full strategic ownership of margin and revenue growth, P&L responsibility and the development of a high‑performing commercial team.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute a margin‑ and revenue‑growth strategy for European markets.
• Own the commercial P&L, delivering sales and margin results that exceed industry benchmarks.
• Build, lead and mentor a regional team of senior commercial professionals.
• Strengthen relationships with key distributors, contractors and building owners.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Finance and other functions to ensure commercial alignment.
• Identify new opportunities through customer insights and market trends.

Required profile

• 10+ years of commercial or sales leadership experience, preferably in roofing, waterproofing, construction chemicals or building‑materials wholesale.
• Proven track record of leading multi‑market teams and delivering business results.
• Strategic thinker with strong autonomy and initiative.
• Customer‑centric mindset and ability to influence through relationships.
• Fluent in English; additional French, Dutch or German is a strong asset.
• Willingness to travel frequently across Europe.
