Commercial Controller – Finance & Business Partner

About the role

As a Commercial Controller you will be the analytical bridge between the commercial functions and finance, ensuring smooth monthly closing, budgeting and forecasting for the Commercial and Marketing areas. You will work closely with sales, marketing and trade teams, providing data‑driven insights that influence business decisions and support product innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Link commercial departments (Sales, Marketing, Trade Marketing) with finance and the Management Board.
• Provide financial steering and advice on sales, promotional and marketing activities through detailed analyses.
• Maintain internal controls, recommend and implement process improvements.
• Support product innovation and renovation projects with financial insights.
• Evaluate and approve sales‑related documents such as invoices, credit notes and contracts.
• Lead the planning and control cycle, including budgeting, forecasting, KPI monitoring and corrective actions.

Required profile

• Academic degree in Business Economics or a related field.
• First relevant experience as a Controller or Auditor, preferably in FMCG.
• Fluent in Dutch and French, working knowledge of English.
• Strong analytical mindset, curiosity and ability to influence across the organization.
• Team player with a proactive, solution‑oriented attitude.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Excel.
• SAP S/4HANA.
• SAP BW.
• Knowledge of Anaplan (plus).
• Knowledge of Vulki (plus).
