Chief Information Security Officer (Customer‑Facing)

About the role

As a customer‑facing Chief Information Security Officer you will act as the strategic conscience and trusted advisor for our clients. You will translate complex cyber threats into board‑level language and align security initiatives with business strategy, while coordinating with specialised security and managed‑services teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a cyber‑security policy tailored to each customer’s environment.
• Define long‑term security road‑maps and translate strategy into actionable plans.
• Serve as a C‑level sparring partner, participating in board meetings, risk committees and establishing governance structures.
• Lead risk analyses across IT, OT and IoT, and communicate findings to management.
• Guide customers through regulatory requirements (e.g., NIS2, GDPR) and prepare them for audits and ISO certifications.
• Oversee incident response, coordinate crisis communication and advise on the use of SOC and monitoring services.
• Raise security awareness, produce clear risk and maturity reports, and act as the central point of contact for all stakeholders.

Required profile

• Academic‑level knowledge with strong consulting and diplomatic skills.
• Extensive experience in governance, risk and compliance (GRC) and security frameworks.
• Ability to bridge technical detail and executive communication.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, CIS frameworks.
• Familiarity with legislation such as NIS2 and GDPR.
• Expertise in ITIL and GRC processes.
• Solid understanding of ICT architectures; experience with OT/ICS and IoT is a plus.
