Care Expert - Belgium

About the role

Alan is building a prevention insurance company that combines insurance, prevention and care, and is hiring a Care Expert for its Belgium team. The role sits on the frontline, answering members by chat, email and phone, solving their problems and delivering a great customer experience. The position is full time, aimed at A1-B1 level, and candidates must be legally eligible to work in Belgium or France.

Key responsibilities

• Handle members' requests in a meaningful, timely and helpful way, with transparency, accuracy and clarity on matters of health.
• Work on projects alongside member support, helping improve processes and tools and suggest improvements to the product.
• Help build, nurture and grow the care team in Belgium.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in customer support, education or communication.
• Bilingual English and Dutch.
• Passion for caring for members and solving their problems.
• Very empathetic mindset, motivated and entrepreneurial.
• Enthusiasm for teamwork, learning and teaching.
• Remote work flexibility is offered, though in-person collaboration is valued.

Required skills

• Comfortable with computers and technology in general.
• Love of written communication.
• Knowledge of the Belgian healthcare system is a bonus; it will be taught if needed.

Insurance is a regulated profession: agents in contact with the public must pass a basic insurance knowledge test within their first year, which Alan covers. The company states it hires people, not roles, and welcomes applications even if not every requirement is met.
