Calculation Engineer

About the role

We are a Belgian engineering consulting firm supporting SMEs and large industrial organisations in turning innovation and R&D projects into reality. As a Calculation Engineer you will provide in‑depth engineering calculations that guide design decisions across thermodynamic, fluid‑dynamic, mechanical, bearing and structural domains.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive engineering calculations, including thermodynamic, fluid‑dynamic, mechanical, bearing and structural analyses.
• Develop and maintain analytical and numerical models to simulate compressor and component behaviour for various gases and operating conditions.
• Conduct stress, strain and fatigue assessments of critical components.
• Execute thermodynamic evaluations to determine system efficiency and performance.
• Carry out advanced bearing calculations to ensure reliability of rotating equipment.
• Perform structural analyses to verify robustness and safety of assemblies and sub‑components.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Electromechanical, Energy, Mechatronics engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Extensive knowledge of thermodynamics and structural analysis.
• Strong programming capabilities, particularly in Matlab.
• Passion for technology and innovation.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, multi‑disciplinary environment.
