CA Design Engineer

About the role

As a CA Design Engineer you will join a dedicated team of engineers focused on creating custom truck solutions. You will work on non‑standard concepts, turning customer specifications into technically sound designs that meet Volvo’s high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and document non‑standard truck concepts from idea to detailed design.
• Provide technical advice to other departments for adapting standard vehicles to specific customer needs.
• Make independent decisions and take end‑to‑end responsibility for assigned concepts.
• Collaborate closely with teammates to ensure feasible and high‑quality solutions.

Required profile

• Technical bachelor’s or master’s degree, or equivalent experience.
• Strong interest in automotive or truck engineering; prior experience is a plus but not mandatory.
• Excellent communication skills and a team‑oriented mindset.
• Organised, detail‑oriented and capable of working autonomously.
• Fluent in English and Dutch; additional languages are a benefit.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
