Process Operator – Juice Terminal (Ghent)

About the role

As a Process Operator at Louis Dreyfus Company’s Juice Terminal in the Port of Ghent, you will ensure the smooth daily operation of loading, unloading and cleaning activities for fruit juice and concentrate. You will work both from the control room and on the loading floor, maintaining food‑safe standards throughout your shift.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor tank and pumping parameters on multiple control screens and adjust settings as needed.
• Operate loading and unloading installations from the control room, including food‑safe cleaning procedures.
• Prepare loading and unloading reports and complete checklists according to LDC and customer procedures.
• Connect and disconnect hoses and pipelines, and use fall‑protection equipment to climb onto trucks when required.
• Collect product samples for internal quality laboratory analysis.
• Keep the loading area clean, organized and compliant with food‑safety regulations, including cleaning filters and fittings.

Required profile

• Enjoys an active work environment and can stay on the move throughout the shift.
• Strong practical problem‑solving abilities and comfort working with volumes and measurements.
• Ability to follow procedures accurately while keeping food safety in mind.
• Willingness to work a three‑shift system (06:00–14:00 / 14:00–22:00 / 22:00–06:00).
