Business Controller – East Flanders (Lokeren or Antwerp)

About the role

We are seeking a Business Controller to join a fast‑moving, technology‑driven organisation operating in industrial automation and robotics. The role is hands‑on and embedded within operational and engineering teams, turning complex data into clear financial insights that directly influence business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain financial forecasts, budgets and cash‑flow plans.
• Perform detailed variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast) and highlight risks and opportunities.
• Monitor project and operational costs, accruals and monthly financial performance.
• Support month‑end closing, ensuring accurate provisions and reporting.
• Develop and maintain financial KPIs and dashboards for decision‑making.
• Collaborate with operational managers to drive cost efficiency and margin improvement.
• Ensure accuracy of master data, financial data and reporting systems.
• Assist with pricing, invoicing and revenue‑cost alignment processes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of financial tools, systems and processes.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related field.
• Proven experience in controlling, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and structured thinking.
• Excellent communication skills to convey financial insights to non‑financial stakeholders.
• Proactive, hands‑on attitude and comfortable in a fast‑evolving environment.
• Fluent in English and Dutch.
