Backend Developer (Autofix)

About the role

Aikido Security is building developer‑first security products that eliminate bottlenecks and let teams ship faster. As a Backend Developer on the Autofix team you will help design and implement high‑performance services that power these tools.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend services primarily in TypeScript/Node.js, with occasional work in Python, PHP and other languages as needed.
• Manage AWS infrastructure and Lambda deployments, ensuring reliability and scalability.
• Set up, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines for rapid, safe releases.
• Design scalable, high‑availability systems and document new features.
• Handle asynchronous programming challenges and optimise code for speed where it matters.
• Explore and integrate AI‑driven features into the platform.

Required profile

• Comfortable working in a fast‑moving, entrepreneurial environment.
• Willingness to learn new languages and experiment with code.
• Ability to think strategically about architecture and solve hard algorithmic problems (e.g., AST parsing).
• Curious about AI and eager to apply it in security tooling.
• Fluent English and able to work from the Ghent office at least three days a week.
