Assistant Housekeeping Manager

About the role

Motel One is hiring an Assistant Housekeeping Manager in Brussels. The role focuses on the well-being of guests and employees and supports the coordination and management of the Housekeeping department. The company describes itself as a chain of more than 95 hotels in 13 countries.

Key responsibilities

• Share responsibility for ordering and deliveries within the Housekeeping department
• Work with internal and external cleaning staff
• Ensure and implement Motel One's housekeeping standards and keep all areas clean
• Share responsibility for internal coaching, cross-training and onboarding of new housekeeping staff
• Gain cross-departmental insight by collaborating in multicultural teams

Required profile

• Hotel training or professional experience in the hotel, restaurant or retail sectors, or an interest in changing careers
• A passion for developing employees, ideally with some initial leadership experience
• A strong focus on quality, service and hospitality
• An open, communicative attitude and good manners
• Ability to work well in a team and support other departments

Required skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in French and English
