Android Developer – Brussels

About the role

As an Android Developer in the CCE‑Individuals/Business department of BNP Paribas Fortis, you will contribute to the bank’s digital channels (Easy Banking Web & App, Easy Banking Business Web & App). You will design, build and maintain high‑performance Android applications using Java/Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into clean, reusable Java/Kotlin code for Android.
• Design, develop and maintain features with Jetpack Compose, ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ship new functionalities and integrate external data sources and APIs.
• Write unit tests and apply test‑driven development to guarantee robustness and handle edge cases.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, bugs, and technical debt.
• Maintain code quality, organization and automation using CI/CD pipelines.

Required profile

• Ability to understand and translate business needs into technical specifications.
• Proactive team player who shares knowledge and embraces pair programming.
• Familiarity with Google’s Android design principles, DDD and best practices.
• Experience with test‑driven development (TDD) and a mindset of continuous improvement.
• Good command of English; Dutch or French is a plus.
