French AI Language Expert (Remote, Freelance)

About the role

We are seeking native or near‑native French speakers to help evaluate and improve AI systems that generate and teach French. Your linguistic expertise will directly influence how AI understands, produces, and delivers French language content to learners worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Assess AI‑generated French speech and text for accuracy, naturalness, and educational quality.
• Evaluate learner speech and writing across CEFR levels from Pre‑A1 to B2+.
• Identify errors, unnatural phrasing, and pedagogical gaps using expert judgment.
• Suggest improvements to ensure clear, idiomatic, and culturally appropriate French.
• Provide structured, actionable feedback to enhance AI tutoring and language‑learning models.
• Collaborate asynchronously with project leads and fellow language experts.

Required profile

• Native or near‑native fluency in French.
• Experience teaching French or evaluating learner language.
• Strong written communication skills in French and English (C1/C2).
• Familiarity with CEFR frameworks and learner speech patterns.
• Currently enrolled in or completed a Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Attention to detail and consistency in linguistic judgment.
