Technical Designer

About the role

The Technical Designer will translate creative concepts into precise, production‑ready technical drawing packages for large‑scale immersive exhibitions. Reporting to the Senior Production Project Manager and based in Brussels, you will ensure that every design complies with international venue regulations, structural standards and manufacturing requirements across global projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed technical drawings from approved creative concepts, including plans, elevations, sections and construction details.
• Create full drawing packages with material specifications and structural detailing for exhibition stands, custom builds and feature areas.
• Ensure compliance with venue regulations, local safety standards and structural load requirements.
• Produce accurate 2D/3D models and render‑ready technical layouts.
• Liaise with production teams, contractors and suppliers to verify design feasibility and specify materials, finishes and construction methods.
• Review and approve shop drawings, resolve technical issues during pre‑production and build phases, and provide on‑site technical support when required.
• Collaborate with Creative Designers, Project Managers and global partners to preserve design intent while aligning with budgets and timelines.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in exhibition, events, experiential, retail or related environment design.
• Proven ability to produce technical drawing packages and construction documentation for large‑scale builds.
• Strong understanding of structural principles and load calculations.
