Software Engineer – Rail Transport

About the role

Médiane Benelux is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join its rail transport team. You will help design and develop cutting‑edge software solutions that support the mobility of tomorrow, working closely with domain experts and integration teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop software specifications and architectures based on rail expert requirements.
• Define and manage technical specifications and subsystem requirements.
• Improve development processes, methods, and tools.
• Support the integration team during validation and implementation activities.
• Contribute to innovative software projects for future transportation systems.

Required profile

• Fluent oral and written communication in English and French.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering (software, electronics, industrial, etc.).
• Minimum 5 years of experience with C++ development on Linux.
• Project‑management experience is a strong asset.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
• Highly organized, autonomous, and able to ramp up quickly.

Required skills

• C++ programming.
• Linux development environment.
• Version control systems (Git or GitLab).
• Reading technical graphs, SI units, and basic kinematics.
