IT Support Engineer

About the role

Aerospacelab, a vertically integrated small satellite manufacturer and earth observation services developer, is looking for an IT Support Engineer in its Charleroi office (Megafactory). The role covers helpdesk support, ticket handling, user rights management and basic server and desktop configuration.

Key responsibilities

• Answer user helpdesk calls promptly and advise users on the actions to take.
• Follow up each call rigorously and daily, from problem recording to solution, respecting deadlines and informing partners and colleagues where needed.
• Produce weekly reports on call-handling statistics to improve service quality.
• Update the CMDB after incident resolution and change implementation, manage user rights, and propose and improve Knowledge Base articles.
• Prepare and configure laptops and desktops, and carry out basic server and infrastructure tasks.
• Use the ticketing tools correctly (classification, recording and follow-up) and report complex or unresolved incidents to the infrastructure team or service manager.
• Support the Proximity team during periods of exceptional workload.

Required profile

• Strong working knowledge of computer systems, hardware and software.
• Good problem-solving, analytical and teamwork skills, excellent communication and stress tolerance.
• Openness to learning new technologies.
• French and English.

Required skills

• Advanced technical skills across Microsoft and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with Apple products (macOS/iPadOS/iOS).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2013/2016/Office 365, Teams, Skype and Zoom.
• Antivirus protection software, VPN solutions, networking configuration and print management.
• Audio-visual and conference room tools.
