Software Engineer

About the role

Join a fast‑growing FinTech company in Mechelen and help build secure, high‑performance payment and financial platforms used by thousands of customers. You will primarily develop backend services while also having the opportunity to contribute to frontend and cloud projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high‑quality backend applications using Node.js.
• Design scalable APIs and micro‑services architecture.
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, and fellow developers.
• Participate in technical discussions and architectural decisions.
• Work in a cloud‑native environment following modern DevOps practices.
• Improve performance, security, and reliability across the platform.
• Optionally contribute to frontend development and cloud infrastructure projects.

Required profile

• Strong experience with Node.js.
• Knowledge of Nest.js is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with Vue.js or other modern frontend frameworks is an advantage.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud environments is highly valued.
• Passion for clean code, software architecture, and modern development practices.
• Analytical mindset with solid problem‑solving abilities.
• Team player with excellent communication skills.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
