Software Development Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer to design and implement features that drive the commercial and technical success of Nokia’s IP networking products. You will work on real‑time embedded software for IP, data‑center and mobile platforms, collaborating closely with product management and testing teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement new product features in C/C++, Python and Go.
• Work with Product Management to define feature specifications.
• Develop real‑time embedded software using real‑time operating systems and network protocols (IETF RFCs, 3GPP, ITU).
• Collaborate with the testing team to ensure high‑quality releases and reduce qualification time.
• Create debugging and reporting tools to enable rapid problem detection in deployed products.
• Contribute innovative ideas to the future product roadmap.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (or final‑year) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, ICT or a related field.
• More than 3 years of relevant software development experience.
• Strong interest in computer networks and real‑time software development.
• Practical proficiency in English.
• Self‑driven, eager to learn and follow internet technology trends.
