SOC Analyst T1 – Cybersecurity Operations

About the role

We are looking for a SOC Analyst T1 to join Nexova’s 24/7 Security Operations Centre supporting the European Space Agency. Based at the ESA premises in Redu, Belgium, you will help protect critical missions by detecting, analysing and responding to cyber incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Perform in‑depth triage and analysis of logs, network traffic and endpoint data to investigate incidents.
• Detect and respond to sophisticated threats using advanced security tools.
• Serve as the first line of analysis for routine alerts, escalating complex cases to Tier 2.
• Operate SOC platforms such as SIEM, SOAR and ITSM to ensure effective service delivery.
• Produce detailed incident reports, including root‑cause analysis, and communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation or 24/7 onsite shift schedule as required.

Required profile

• Degree in Cybersecurity, IT or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat landscape and mitigation strategies.
• Experience in incident response and teamwork within a SOC environment.
• Eligibility for ESA and EU Secret security clearance.
• Fluent English; French is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SIEM platforms.
• Experience using SOAR tools.
• Familiarity with ITSM systems.
• Knowledge of Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions.
