About the role
As a Service Team Leader you will combine technical expertise with strong leadership to optimise field service operations, maintain key customer relationships and drive continuous improvement across the service department.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of service engineers, fostering a high‑performance culture.
- Plan, schedule and allocate resources for preventive, corrective and emergency service interventions.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards and customer specifications.
- Monitor service performance metrics, analyse trends and implement corrective actions to boost efficiency and satisfaction.
- Act as the primary contact for key customer accounts on service‑related inquiries and escalations.
- Collaborate with sales, project management and internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Manage service agreements, warranty claims and spare‑parts inventory.
- Identify opportunities for contract renewals and upselling of additional services.
- Prepare and present regular reports on team performance, customer feedback and operational challenges.
- Coordinate the Stand‑by Service offering.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum 5 years of field service experience in the power or energy industry.
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience managing technical professionals.
- Strong technical knowledge of power products and systems such as transformers, switchgear and grid automation.
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
- Fluent in Dutch and English (French a plus).
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel frequently within Belgium and occasionally abroad.
