Senior System Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a Senior System Administrator to join our client’s team and help modernise and maintain the organisation’s software and systems infrastructure. You will work in a collaborative environment, ensuring server reliability, performance and security while partnering with experts in telecommunications interception, infrastructure engineering and IT operations.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows and Linux server environments.
• Manage Group Policy Objects (GPO), DNS and DHCP services.
• Oversee Windows Server and Active Directory administration.
• Monitor and optimise virtualisation platforms such as VMware, Proxmox and Hyper‑V.
• Implement system security through patch management, backups and business continuity strategies.
• Contribute to the design of scalable system architectures.
• Automate recurring tasks using Python, PowerShell and Ansible.
• Collaborate with network and security teams to ensure end‑to‑end system reliability.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in Windows and Linux system administration.
• Strong background in virtualisation, storage and security.
• Experience with cloud environments (Azure, AWS) is desirable.
• Proficient in scripting with PowerShell, Bash and Python.
• Extensive knowledge of network, security and identity management components.
• Proven experience managing Active Directory and large‑scale infrastructure migrations.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT or equivalent professional background.
• Fluent in Dutch or French, with good command of English.
