Financial Crime Technology Manager

About the role

Paynovate is seeking a senior professional to own and optimise its fraud and compliance technology stack. You will take end‑to‑end responsibility for platforms such as SEON and Featurespace, ensuring they are reliable, scalable and aligned with operational needs.

Key responsibilities

• Configure, maintain and continuously improve fraud and compliance platforms, managing rules, thresholds and integrations.
• Monitor performance metrics (precision, recall, false‑positive rates) and recalibrate detection models to balance effectiveness with workload.
• Build and maintain a technology roadmap, evaluate new solutions and lead future implementations or migrations.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering and Data teams to translate compliance needs into technical requirements and support testing and rollout.
• Establish structured feedback loops with Compliance Operations, Fraud, Customer Support and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of fraud, AML or transaction‑monitoring processes (mandatory).
• Significant experience with fraud‑detection or financial‑crime technology in payments, fintech or banking.
• Hands‑on experience configuring platforms such as SEON or Featurespace.
• Analytical mindset with ability to work on large, imperfect data sets.
• Ability to translate operational or regulatory needs into clear technical specifications.
