Senior Security Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Security Engineer you will champion industry‑leading security practices throughout Isovalent’s software development lifecycle. You will design, deploy and fine‑tune tools that detect vulnerabilities, ensuring development teams receive consistent, high‑value security guidance.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain security processes across all product teams.
• Build, deploy and calibrate vulnerability detection tools, including SAST, DAST, cloud scanners and LLM‑enhanced pipelines.
• Triage findings from scanners, external reports and penetration tests, and prioritize remediation based on impact.
• Continuously improve security metrics and processes to focus on the most critical issues.
• Communicate risk assessments clearly and evaluate proposed mitigation solutions.
• Partner with development, release and Cisco security teams to ensure timely vulnerability resolution and documentation of security posture.
• Advocate best‑practice security standards across the organization.

Required profile

• Strong technical background in information security with deep knowledge of Linux security concepts.
• Proven experience automating security workflows using Go, Python, Bash or IaC tools such as Terraform.
• Demonstrated ability to lead security projects from design through delivery.
• Excellent organizational, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
