Senior Python Developer – Life Insurance (Brussels)

About the role

Monument, a dynamic international life insurance group, is seeking a senior Python developer to support and enhance its core policy administration platform (UL3). The role focuses on building data interfaces, automations, and reporting solutions that streamline insurance operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python‑based automations and interfaces to and from the UL3 system.
• Create and sustain reporting pipelines feeding internal and external databases.
• Develop ad‑hoc tools and small applications that support policy administration workflows.
• Manage installation, testing, and release of UL3 add‑ons.
• Collaborate with business domains to bring design, development, and operations expertise.

Required profile

• Strong experience across the software development lifecycle and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, VBScript, and JavaScript.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Power Platform for rapid automation.
• Ability to architect robust, high‑performance solutions.
• Team‑player with excellent communication, time‑management, and problem‑solving skills.
• Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM, Jira, and business‑process modeling (BPMN, Use Cases).
• Professional fluency in English; French required, Dutch a plus.
