Senior Project Manager – NATO (Secret Clearance)

About the role

The NATO NCI Agency is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large‑scale IT projects from July to December 2026. The role is based in Brussels and requires a NATO SECRET clearance. You will work under the Head of the Project Management Office, ensuring delivery of capabilities and services in line with NATO regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement and manage assigned IT projects, adhering to NATO and NCI Agency project management policies.
• Develop procurement strategies, business cases, benefit‑risk analyses and secure sponsor approval and funding.
• Execute quality‑assurance activities and monitor time, cost and quality tolerances.
• Allocate resources, track milestones and initiate corrective actions when needed.
• Lead and supervise project teams in a matrix environment, maintaining realistic project plans and communicating progress to stakeholders.
• Provide technical support, deputise for higher‑grade staff and support other teams in project‑management activities.

Required profile

• Active NATO SECRET clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and at least three years of recent project‑management experience in a large‑scale IT organisation.
• Proven track record of managing projects for NATO or NCIA, including experience in an international, military‑civilian environment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to brief senior stakeholders.

Required skills

• PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• ITIL Foundation certification.
• Experience with ServiceNow and ERP tools for project‑management automation.
• Knowledge of Business Intelligence platforms such as PowerBI and software development environments.
