Senior Policy Advisor – AI, Digitalisation & Power (1‑year)

About the role
EDRi is looking for an experienced Senior Policy Advisor to lead advocacy on AI, digitalisation and power. The role focuses on advancing a just and open internet, information democracy and participation within EDRi’s 2025‑2030 strategy.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and shape EDRi’s advocacy on AI, public digital infrastructures, biometric surveillance and the intersection of technology with labour rights.
- Develop and implement policy positions on the societal, economic and environmental impacts of technology.
- Coordinate coalition‑building efforts with civil‑society partners and EDRi members.
- Represent EDRi in expert hearings, panels, interviews and EU policy‑making processes.
- Contribute to field‑building activities, convenings and strategic communications.
Required profile
- Proven experience in policy analysis, advocacy or research on digital rights and emerging technologies.
- Strong knowledge of AI and its implications for human rights and EU tech law.
- Ability to work onsite in Brussels and engage with a high volume of in‑person meetings.
- Excellent communication and coalition‑building skills.

What we offer
- Annual gross salary of €65,769.54 (including 13th month and holiday savings).
- Four‑day, 32‑hour work week (no work on Fridays).
- Flexible working hours, limited teleworking from Belgium, additional family‑care leave.
