Senior Network Security Governance Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a senior professional to own and continuously improve our enterprise firewall governance framework. You will work closely with security, infrastructure and architecture teams to ensure our network security posture meets regulatory and business requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance the firewall governance framework across the enterprise.
• Review and validate firewall policy requests against security standards, DORA, NIS2 and ISO 27001.
• Support internal and external security audits, coordinate remediation and produce compliance reporting.
• Administer and optimise Palo Alto Networks firewalls and Panorama, including rule recertification and policy clean‑up.
• Contribute to network segmentation, Zero Trust initiatives and cloud/hybrid network security projects.
• Perform security risk assessments for network changes and act as escalation point for complex incidents.
• Automate reporting and operational processes using scripting or APIs.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in network security engineering.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with Palo Alto Networks technologies.
• Proven track record in firewall policy governance and audit support.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, SSL/TLS and IPsec.
• Experience with security frameworks (DORA, NIS2, ISO 27001) and risk‑assessment processes.
• Fluent English and strong stakeholder communication skills.
